Ok it might not be furniture and its debatable weather or not it interactive, But people might be interested in looking at a very talented kinetic sculptor for inspiration. Theo Jansen

  2. His material usage is really amazing, what I’d usually call Home Depot chic, but he’s been doing it for a while now – tubing, cable ties, etc. And he somehow makes the materials feel organic, as if plastic bottles left lying on a beach over time could morph, converge, and organize.

    He’s really approachable and meek – I saw him with a friend working on a piece in Trafalgar Square last year – he talked with us and indulged my friend’s dorky request for a picture with him.
