  1. you can also splice a wall adapter’s tip to a 9v battery, its alot cleaner and you have less wires running near the power supplies.

  2. so i thought about that, but i figured header pins were cheaper than tips. if youre worried about shorts (as i was), you can stick a little piece of heatshrink on the wire before you solder it and then slide it down over the joint.
