Birth of the Technofridge

There’s been a bit of a drastic change to my project since its first inception…

First off, to respond to the immediate duck/tiger comparison from my original proposal, after reading through 3 different RFID books and scouring dozens of websites, I learned that what I had in mind would be yet another contrived demo-happy-but-not-at-all-ready-for-production project that I so aimed to admonish.

So instead, I decided that I could fix the refrigerator’s visualization problems, and make the furniture a bit more interesting. So now, when you open your fridge, you can immediately get a sense of everything inside of it viz a generative electronic/techno song.  I nearly have the RFID tags to sync sounds correctly, but just to get an idea of how the project will work, I created a mockup of what would happen.
